EARTH HOUR March 28th & EARTH DAY April 22nd are almost here!
Be the one to lead the way in your neighborhood,
business, or school!
Please tell us about your plans to participate in these
World Wide Events and send us digital pictures.
Don't have plans, but would like to participate? Here
are some ideas:
- Volunteer at any of the upcoming events
(Recycling
Events, Prairie Path Cleanup, Earth Day Events) now
thru the end of April - we can't do this without your
help
- Hold a cell phone drive and bring them to
SCARCE
- Arrange for a Collection at work to gather the
Electronics & Recycling items from co-workers & bring
them to the event nearest you
- Participate in the Gym Shoe Rescue - either start
a collection or volunteer to help sort all those
shoes
- Start a Native or Rain Garden
- Install Rain Barrels around your home
- BE CREATIVE - Every Little Bit Makes a Difference!

The purpose of World Water Day is to draw
international attention to the critical lack of clean, safe
drinking water worldwide.
Join WWD 2009 action on
Starbucks V2V to find or start a Walk for Water in your
community and to meet others who are passionate
about this cause, World Water Day.

Turn Off the LIGHTS - Join this International Event!
This year's Earth Hour promises to be the biggest one
yet! 2008 was only the second year of Earth Hour -
Over 50 million people participated in turning off their
lights in over 35 countries. The goal for 2009 is ONE
BILLION people in 1,000 Cities!
"Earth Hour is a message of hope and a message of
action. Everyone can make a difference."
Turning off the lights saves precious natural
resources including WATER! Look for the results of
