EARTH HOUR 2010!!!

Earth Hour on March
27th was a HUGE Success!
 Look at the Earth Hour
website (link below). It was an amazing hour that took
place in every time zone around the world.
Countries from every continent participated.
Major monuments and landmarks turned off their lights in
dramatic fashion. The pictures are
phenomenal!
Thanks for supporting such a
wonderful, worldwide event! It shows how the actions of
one city, Sydney, Australia, has MADE a DIFFERENCE on a
global scale. All it takes is one person, one
organization, one city to start a ripple effect that
travels the globe...

Day Celebration - Sunday, April 18 Oak Brook,

District of DuPage
"Conservation, Restoration and
Recycling" are the themes of this year's Earth Day
celebration. There will be booths and activities for the
whole family. Join SCARCE at this event and ride the
energy bike to "feel" how energy can be saved by
switching to CFLs. Plus, make recycled paper and learn
how pollutants affect our water & environment and
what we can do to make a difference through the
groundwater flow
model.

The Whole
Foods-Naperville will show how groundwater moves and how
our lakes, rivers and wells are affected by the movement
