Elmer's Glue Recycling Program
 
Elmer's Glue Crew Recycling Program Update
 
Last year, over 750,000 students recycled their glue! Elmer's & Wal-Mart have teamed up again in 2008-2009 for this recycling program. You MUST sign up to participate in the program, log onto Elmer's Glue Crew .
NEW Drink Pouch Recycling
TerraCycle has a GREAT Program!
 
TerraCycleDON'T throw away those DRINK POUCHES anymore! TerraCycle will recycle drink pouches, Energy Bar wrappers and more! Plus, your favorite charity (HINT: SCARCE) will receive $ for your efforts. Log onto TerraCycle to be a part of these Recycling Brigades!

ACCEPTED: Expired/leftover medicine, SLA Batteries (Auto, Sump Pump, Motorcycle, Lawnmower), CFLs - Fluorescent Light Bulbs & Ballasts, Poisons, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Insecticides, Pool Chemicals, Acids, Thermostats, Household Batteries, Auto Fluids, Asbestos,  Cleaning Solvents, Mercury, Propane Tanks 20lbs or less

OCTOBER 25 is this National Event! Do something, anything, to MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Here are some ideas:
    • Clean up garbage in your school yard
    • Clean up your neighborhood 
    • Take items to the HHW Collection in Carol Stream or Naperville. Log onto DuPage County - HHW
    • Clean up a nearby river or creek
    • Donate unwanted items
    • Rake leaves for someone who can't do it themselves
    • Volunteer for a Non-Profit Organization

Target Field Trip Grant Program
November 1, 2008 Deadline!
Target is offering 5,000 field trips nationwide for K-12 schools with grants up to $800. Applications are due by November 1. Log onto Target for Teachers for more information.
