Make a Monetary DonationSCARCE is a registered 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. Your donation today will support our ongoing Rescue Programs, including the Book Rescue, Tools For Schools, the Gym Shoe Rescue and the Super Crayon Project.
In 18 years of operation, the Book Rescue has diverted over 3 million textbooks from going to the landfill and redistributed them to under-served schools.
In 2008, we collected over 19,000 pairs of gym shoes. Half of these shoes went to area organizations (ie. Salvation Army) and area shelters. The other half of shoes, which were completely worn out, went to the Nike Grind Project for future playground materials.
Thousands of school supplies have been diverted from landfills and re-donated to teachers & schools via our Tools For Schools Program.
Every month, teachers serving children, with special needs, pick up hundreds of Super Crayons.
These programs are solely supported through private time and donations.

Other Donations- We use cell phone and ink jet recycling to help fund our programs. Please drop off cell phones and ink jet cartridges anytime.
- We accept and redistribute text books, office supplies, and crayons as part of our programs, as described on other parts of our web site.
- We can use any donations of gift certificates (e.g. Walmart, Office Depot, Target, Home Depot, etc) or office supplies to help our day to day operations.
- We hold many events where volunteers are involved. On those days donations of food and drinks for the volunteers would be appreciated.
