Freecycle and Freesources Recycling NetworkHave household "stuff" cluttering up your home or office? Sign up for a local newsgroup to help you declutter without using the landfill. Post "stuff" you want to get rid of and if someone wants it, they respond to you directly and you can make arrangements for the transfer. You can also request "stuff". The idea is to keep it out of the landfill. Everything is free - resellers not invited.
The Freecycle and Freesources Recycling groups work the same way. In the Chicago area, Freecycle groups are localized to one town and Freesources groups are typically county wide or cover a larger geographic area. Sign up or get more information at:

PRESCRIPTION DRUG DISPOSALDon't flush old prescriptions down the toilet. The medicine contaminates our water supply. Some pharmacies take them back, or you can take them to the annual Unwanted Medication Day in Naperville in May or the Hazardous Waste collection facility in Naperville (open every weekend) or a Hazardous Waste Collection Event. |
