Youth ProgramsTopics Include:
* 3R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Introduces the garbage problem & gets the audience excited about the solutions through a "show and tell" of recycled products. Includes Papermaking.
* Papermaking A hands-on activity used to teach the papermaking process. Each participant makes a sample piece of paper to take home.
* Trash to Treasures So named for the expression, "one man's trash is another man's treasures," T-to-T, teaches to begin a craft, not with a trip to the store, but to the trash can. Includes time for a couple fun crafts!
* Watershed Model An interactive tool used to teach about water pollution. The audience becomes the polluters, rainmakers, and the problem-solvers. |
