Green Buildings Workshop for Community Leaders

Have you heard the buzz about “Green Buildings”? Would you like to know what it’s all about, and perhaps, lead your community in the charge to be more environmentally-friendly? We can show you what is so exciting about this NEW technology and how you can help the buildings in your communities to operate with the highest efficiency in energy, water and natural resource usage. See how an attractive, healthy environment can be provided for working, learning and playing while also helping your businesses’ bottom lines. Youth Programs

Topics Include:
* 3R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Introduces the garbage problem & gets the audience excited about the solutions through a "show and tell" of recycled products. Includes Papermaking.
* Papermaking A hands-on activity used to teach the papermaking process. Each participant makes a sample piece of paper to take home.
* Trash to Treasures So named for the expression, "one man's trash is another man's treasures," T-to-T, teaches to begin a craft, not with a trip to the store, but to the trash can. Includes time for a couple fun crafts!
* Watershed Model An interactive tool used to teach about water pollution. The audience becomes the polluters, rainmakers, and the problem-solvers.
