Crayon Program

DONATE YOUR CRAYONS

We'll take the old crayons your kids don't want or use anymore! The whole crayons will be sorted into sets for underprivileged school children, and the broken pieces will be remelted into "super crayons". Drop them off during our normal business hours.

SUPER CRAYONS

With donated broken pieces of crayons from schools and residents we make "super crayons." Volunteers peel, sort and melt them using a crock pot and candle molds to form large crayons to be used by children with special needs. Thank you to all who bring us crayons and to those volunteers who spend time on this project. A special thanks to the Adapted For Kids By Kids program.

SAVE YOUR ALTOID BOXES

Bring your old Altoid, or mints, tins and bring them to SCARCE. We reuse the boxes to hold our rescued whole crayons. Surprisingly, they are a perfect fit for 12 crayons!
